Chris has been teaching and training for over 40 years, and working as a clinician for 15 yrs. She teaches Working Equitation, In – Hand work, Classical Horsemanship, the Art of Garrocha, Western Dressage, all with the correct biomechanics for horse and rider. Chris is a forever student of the horse and continues her own education.

Chris learned about Working Equitation(WE) in 2008. She was captured by the spirit of the sport. It became her passion. Chris believes Working Equitation takes a strong partnership and foundation between horse and rider, allowing us to ride Working Equitation with finesse and grace.

Chris is a founding member and current President of High Country Working Equitation. She is a National Competitor, a student of the Pedro Torres Academy of Working Equitation, and a provisional TD. Chris served on WE United and Confederations boards, and participated in the merger of USAWE.

Chris teaches clinics all over Colorado. Chris believes Working Equitation is the best cross training for any horse in any discipline and horses shouldn’t be rushed. Her approach is teaching in a positive and relaxed manner, one that is supportive rather than intimidating for both the horse and rider.
