Membership in USAWE
Our membership year currently runs from January 1st through December 31st.
Adult memberships cost $45.
Junior memberships are free!
Individual Memberships
USAWE offers Individual Adult and Junior memberships.
Adult members (18 and over) are eligible to serve on committees, hold office, vote, be recognized on the regional and national Leaderboard as well as earn Lifetime Rider Medals and compete for the annual high-point breed performance awards. The Individual Adult membership fee is $45.
Junior members (17 years and under as of the start of the competition/membership year – Jan. 1) are eligible to serve on committees and be recognized on the regional and national Leaderboard as well as earn Lifetime Rider Medals and compete for the annual high-point breed performance awards. In addition, all Junior members automatically compete for the High Point Youth award. The Individual Youth membership fee is free at the present time.

Please note: We request that each member have their own UNIQUE email address on file with us. Email addresses are used for elections and our e-newsletters. Having a unique email address for each member will help ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in all our offerings.

~ Submit payment – A link to the payment page will appear once the Form is submitted. Note: Once your Payment has been confirmed, we will process your membership and send you a membership card within two business days. Thanks!
Note: Some of our members are reporting online payment issues if using Firefox, and recommend using Chrome instead. Others indicate it’s an Apple compatibility issue, and recommend using Safari as the browser on an iPhone. If you are having problems with remitting payment, please contact USAWE Secretary (secretary@usawe.org) and request to be invoiced. Thank you.
For Junior members:
~ Just fill out the membership application by clicking on the “Adult or Junior Join or Renew” button.
~ Submit the application. Disregard the payment page when it pops up…you do not need to pay.
Adult memberships will not be processed without payment.
How does an annual membership designation impact licensed show entries and the annual awards programs?
Youth Membership is for Youth (7-17 yrs. old as of January 1 of the calendar). Youth are encouraged to join or renew as a Youth USAWE member to take advantage of several perks – FREE Youth membership, Youth Scholarship eligibility, Youth National and Regional Leaderboard Awards, Youth High Point Year End Award and special youth activities/events planned by the USAWE Youth Development Committee. Youth members may compete in Youth, Amateur or Open Division (per U.S. Rules for Working Equitation > 1.3 Rider Divisions); however, their leaderboard points from each competition will correspond to the division they showed in at that competition.
Amateur Membership is not age restricted. Members must comply with USEF Rule GR1306 Professional/Amateur Status. Amateur members may compete in Amateur or Open Division (per U.S. Rules for Working Equitation > 1.3 Rider Divisions); however, their leaderboard points from each competition will correspond to the division they showed in at that competition.
Open Membership is not age restricted. Members must compete in the Open Division (per U.S. Rules for Working Equitation > 1.3 Rider Divisions). As an Open member, their Open show results will be used in the Open USAWE Awards Programs.
To earn points toward year-end awards, the horse must be recorded with USAWE prior to competing and the rider must be a current USAWE member within 30 days of the completion of the competition where the points were earned.
