REGION 5

As 2021 comes to a close, it is a great time to reflect on the year.  Region 5 had a fantastic year with approximately 25 individually licensed shows as well as a slew of clinics and other gatherings.  We have a lot to be proud of here in Region 5 and our success wouldn’t be possible without the participation of our members! (This is also a great time to remind you to renew your USAWE membership if you haven’t already.)

Looking ahead, 2022 has many events and shows in the works.  Be sure to keep an eye on the USAWE Events Page to look for clinic and show opportunities.  Many are already getting excited for our new Zone Championship model!  Region 5 will be included as part of the Central Zone; stay tuned for details and announcements!

As new individuals take on new roles in the organization (myself included!), I think it is important to say Thank You to those that are departing roles.  Thank you to Alex Tyson as our former Region 5 director; she has been integral to our success and will still be involved as a USAWE Committee member.    

As I step in to take the reins from Alex, know I am here to help and listen.  At any time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with questions or feedback.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Region 5 Director, I am looking forward to it!
