Shannon has been training and giving lessons in multiple disciplines for 30+ years. Growing up she worked mainly with mules and donkeys, which taught her to think outside the box and train as a partner with each equine. She loves helping people overcome any problems or fears they may have. Shannon encourages growth and partnership between her students and their equines.
In 2018, Shannon learned about Working Equitation. Having been an avid participant in Western Dressage and Trail Trials she decided to sign up and compete in the 2018 Cross National WE Camp and Cup held in Eugene Oregon. It was at that show that Shannon found her passion; it was the best of both worlds!
Shannon has won many Champion and Reserve Champion placements on multiple horses. Shannon has also trained and coached the very first donkey/rider team to compete in WE! This team participated in a CA show series and placed 3rd overall in their class.
Shannon has also introduced and coached her youngest daughter, Bailey, in WE. Bailey went on to earn national Youth Champion 2 years in a row and Open Reserve Champion L3 in 2021. Shannon lives in Bradley, South Carolina where she raises and trains Fell ponies. She is very excited to train and coach future WE teams.
